CASTELLO PREMIUM LAGER

There's nothing demanding or challenging about the Castello lager from up near Udine in northern Italy.

A touch of bitterness early, then a bit of a blank, then more bitterness then a malty aftertaste.

Not offensive, not utter rubbish. Just a middling beer, a rung beneath Beer Chicken.

I'd hoped for more, given its proximity to Austria, but maybe the same thing happens to hops coming into Italy from Germanic lands as happens to coffee beans going the other way.
