KROMBACHER PILSNER

I expected much from Germany's Krombacher pilsner.

I've had a few of them in Germany but was forced to have this one on tap in Italy.

It smelt like a bottle of 30-year-old red wine whose cork began failing after 20. All musty and chemically and a touch of the earthy mushroom about it.

I had a mouthful and handed it back. I'll revisit this again somewhere they know about tap beer...

That's why i won't rate it just yet...
