SAMUEL ADAMS BOSTON LAGER

"America's World Class Beer" is quite the leap from the usual "Premium" nonsense that has become the norm for pretentious labels and implies all the rest are tripe. Which is nearly right, if they're only talking about mainstream brewing.

But while Samuel Adams Lager is ok, it's not special. It has strong maltiness offset nicely by a hit of hops, but it does have a slight honey taste and sort of leaves your mouth feeling a touch sticky, like you've licked a toffee apple.

Not bad, but hard to imagine a session on it.

5/10
