KLOSTER WEISSENOHER PILS

Kloster Weissenoher pils from Germany.

Loved this early in the glass for its rich smell, silky mouth feel and ripping hops bite.

Then it seemed to somehow mellow out as the glass warmed up and tasted less impressive, failing to show up any of the nuances it displayed earlier.

Maybe it's one of those rare quality beers best served really cold. Most cold-serve beers tend to be bland summer beers. This isn't bland and it's not a summer beer. This is a high-quality beer that seems to do its best work a couple of degrees below its compatriots.
