SAMUEL SMITH'S ORGANIC LAGER

Samuel Smith's Organic Lager. I must admit I've taken a bit of a shine to Samuel Smith's, the small Yorkshire brewer, and it's not just for its oddball 550ml bottles.

So I'd been looking forward to this. And I was not disappointed.

It's not their best beer, but it's a strong, hoppy thing from certified organic malts and barley, all grown in the UK.

The warmer it gets, the more the hops come through, so if you drank it in the UK it'd probably rip your tongue off.

Nice drop.

6/10
