URBANUS PREMIUM HELLES

This was a surprise. I was sitting here thinking of quirky ways to make jokes out of its name, but the brewing techniques displayed here don't deserve jokes.

From Pfaffenhofen in Bavaria, the Hell pours looking richer in colour than most helles lagers, smells malty and tastes exactly as the look and smell advertises.

You taste the barley in it straight away, with a hint of caramel following soon after. It isn't heavy in the mouth, either, and it leaves a clean, slightly bitter aftertaste that leaves you wanting more.

Great job.
