HALIDA

Halida from Vietnam. Asian beers aren't my thing, I usually prefer the depth of flavour from European brews, but you know what, this wasn't bad.

Pours a light gold with a thin, white head, nice hoppy taste with a sweetest on top, plus some real fruit hiding there.

Passionfruity, in fact. Brewed under licence from Carlsberg, it looks like some local Hanoi brewer has actually paid attention to what they were taught, then made nice regional tweaks without going too far.

I'd have another of these any day.
