4 PINES AMBER MOSAIC

4 Pines Amber Mosaic. Part of 4 Pine’s Keller Door series are the Wintertide releases. This is a Mosaic single hop amber ale which is 37 IBU and 5.1% ABV. It comes in a decent 500ml size bottle and you can find it in large bottlos like Dan Murphys and BWS.

Not surprisingly an amber colour with a fine head. Floral, toffee and earthy aroma. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Floral and tropical hop flavours leading into a grainy, toffee and earthy malt flavour. Clean mouthfeel, moderately bitter, crisp and refreshing.

An amber ale seems a strange choice to showcase a hop. The hop flavours get muddled a bit with the grainy and toffee malt flavours.

7/10
