4 PINES ESB

4 Pines ESB. This is 4 Pines take on a classic English beer style the Extra Special Bitter (ESB). It’s 5.4% ABV and 45 IBU.

Dark amber colour with a fine head and toffee aroma. Medium body and moderate carbonation.

Moderately sweet toffee flavour, nice mouthfeel with a slightly earthy and firm bitter finish. This is a malt driven beer but the hop bitterness keeps it in check and prevents it from being sickly.

I'm not a huge fan of English styles but even I like this one.

7/10
