AMAGER BRYGHUS EXHOP STORM EDITION HBC 342

Amager Bryghus Exhop Storm Edition HBC 342. An American Pale Ale. I bought this on a whim after sighting the hops on the label. I was also intrigued by the “Exhop”. If it was a hop, what is it now?

Google helped me discover that “Exhop” is one of those stupid American combined abbreviations meaning experimental hops. They should grow more. This beer has a sweetish hoppy aroma and a satisfying pleasant taste. Plenty of hops; more bitterness than the 25IBU suggests and a very dry finish.

Although beers like this make me struggle to differentiate between an APA and an IPA I did enjoy it.

7/10
