BADLANDS BREWERY IPA

Badlands Brewery IPA. “This beer is for hoplovers” it says on the label. Hopped with Cascade and Nelson Sauvin hops.

Standard pale appearance with a sav blanc aroma. Medium body and moderate carbonation.

Flavourwise it’s like a Fat Yak with a bit of citrus and floral characterstics from the Cascade and a Sauvignon blanc character from the Nelson Sauvin.

It doesn’t really fit the mold of an IPA. It’s fruity, with little malt character and a very low level of bitterness. Overall, it’s a refreshing fruity ale but not worthy of being an IPA.

7/10
