BECK'S PILSNER

Beck's Pilsner. I can't remember how long it's been since I had a Beck's, but this is going down nicely.

Clean, crisp flavour, good finish, none of the complex ale characteristics that I usually prefer.

I don't understand why the Europeans have so many lagers when the cold climate is more suited to the complex characteristics of ales. This beer is perfect for the stinker that we had in Western Sydney on Tuesday.

One small disconcerting note. While it is brewed in Germany, it is imported via Argentina and has advice for your pre-teen daughters: "beber con moderacion".

Who cares, it suits the weather.

7/10
