BITBURGER

Bitburger. Germany’s number one draught beer. The company slogan is "Bitte ein Bit" which apparently means "Please, a Bit," or "a Bit, please." However, on bottles imported to Australia it says “Have a bit of Bit”. Why would you only want a bit of beer? Is it that bad? According to the label it’s made using “crystal clear water from volcanic springs”. With annual production in excess of 4 million hectolitres, that’s some spring!

Very pale with the usual amount of carbonation for a Pilsner. Light body, crisp and easy drinking with a grainy malt flavour followed by a moderately bitter finish. It goes down easily and would be a good quaffer on a hot day. In Australia, this is a cheap German Import, I picked up a six pack for $12.

It’s middle of the road but it does the job and it’s cheap.
