BOONT AMBER ALE

Boont Amber Ale. Another score on a US tour.

It pours spectacularly well, with a measured head that remains all the way down, and has the aroma of toasted malts, some peach and even a bit of caramel.

Its flavour profile has a bit of everything it should have, with bitterness, malt and some hints of caramel, nuts and peaches, but it's not balanced properly.

The watery mouthfeel probably doesn't help, but the bitterness hits early, then fades, while the malt is mostly in the aftertaste.

Nearly there, they just need to tip the balance upside down.

6/10
