BREWFIST BUROCRACY IPA

Brewfist Burocracy IPA. I tried the Brewfist X-Ray at the Wheafsheaf Hotel in Adelaide and was pleasantly surprised to find it was an Italian craft beer.

So when I saw this at the bottlo I was keen to check it out. A quick check on their website and it’s brewed with Magnum, Amarillo, Cascade and Motueka hops.

As I crack open the bottle it hisses, forming a light fluffy head as I pour it into a glass. Bubbles continue streaming upwards long after I have poured it.

It has a light and fizzy body, a citrus and malt flavour followed by a dry crisp finish. It’s almost as though they accidentally brewed an IPA with champagne yeast.

I’m not a fan of the lemon/lime acidity presumably from the Motueka.  The combination of fizz, hop bitterness and lack of malt flavour is not a winner.

4/10
