BRIDGE ROAD BREWERS IMPERIAL IPA

Bridge Road Brewers Bling Bling Imperial IPA. Three years ago the Bling IPA was probably my first new world IPA (that or Punk) and as I was working my way through Pale Ales at the time I was a bit unsure about it. After this I will have to revisit.

I was thinking that maybe I should have let this warm a bit, but when I popped it the colour was good and the aroma was lovely fresh hops. This is brewed with double the hops and malt of the Bling IPA and while it produces a high alcohol beer it does not taste overly sweet. The hoppy resinous feel is well balanced by the malt.

The last inch in the IPA glass started to display the classic sweetness of beers over 7%. This beer still has full flavour at fridge temperatures and luckily I did not let warm. A truly lovely beer.
