BRIDGEPORT BREWING CO KINGPIN DOUBLE RED ALE

Bridgeport Brewing Co Kingpin Double Red Ale (Triple Hopped). Red Ales, like Brown Ales can be a bit hit and miss. This probably should have been a bit warmer.
It had good colour and enough of a fruity hops aroma, but the first sip was a bit nondescript. As it warmed I could taste grapefruit and not much else. It has a reasonable mouthfeel, but failed to live up to my expectations of a rich hoppy beer.
This uses an apparently rarely grown variety of Williamette Valley Hop known as Liberty. Ironically a hop named Liberty did not release much flavour.
6/10
