BRIDGEPORT HOP CZAR IMPERIAL IPA

Bridgeport Hop Czar Imperial IPA. An American style IPA brewed with “copious” amounts of Nugget, Chinook, Cascade and Centennial hops.

This is a refreshing and highly drinkable, hoppy IPA. Starts with a piney, grapefruit and citrus flavours followed by a gentle malt backbone and a decent bitter finish.

As it warms up it becomes more slick and resinous. Being bottle conditioned, the carbonation is quite moderate and the residual yeast adds complexity.

Despite being 7.5% it’s highly drinkable. Enough flavour to satisfy hop heads but no so aggressive it’s inaccessible to everyone else.

8/10
