CAMDEN TOWN BREWERY INDIAN SUMMER LAGER

Camden Town Indian Summer Lager. Camden Town beers have started popping up around Australia after they entered into a gentleman’s agreement with Stone & Wood Brewing to assist in the distribution of each others beers in their respective markets.
They describe this beer as an IPA meets Helles. They wanted to combine the big, bold citrus hop flavour of an American IPA with the clean, crisp qualities of a Helles lager. On the malt front are Pilsner, Munich and Carapils. While on the hop front are Zeus, Cascade, Chinook and Citra. It’s 5.8% ABV, 52 IBU, unfiltered and has been dry hopped.
Pale yellow colour, slightly opaque with a frothy head and moderate carbonation. Citrus and pine aroma. Citrus, grapefruit, little bit of pine, clean with a crisp and bitter finish. The bitterness is a bit soapy, possibly as a result of the dry hopping.
7/10
