CLOWN SHOES TRAMP STAMP IPA

Clown Shoes Tramp Stamp Belgian Style India Pale Ale. Maybe it was the label that lured me and I overlooked my growing disdain for Belgian Golden Ales.

The beer, not just the label, looked good, but I was disappointed by the fizzy sweetness that dominated the hoppy fruit aroma. The flavour mirrored the aroma and I was contemplating my next beer when my current workload encouraged me to a take a power nap.

Awakening an hour later I was surprised to see that the beer had not gone flat and I took a sip. The warmth had removed most of the sweetness and I thoroughly enjoyed finishing  the glass and the rest of the open bottle. Why did they bother with the Belgian angle?
