COOPERS SPARKLING ALE

Coopers Pale Ale’s older brother. It’s a uniquely Australian brew that has been around since 1862.

The name is slightly odd, given there is no such beer style as a ‘Sparkling Ale’. A quick Google search reveals no other beer in the world referred to as a Sparkling Ale.

If it was a car it would be a beaten up V8 1974 Holden Kingswood. It doesn’t try to be flashy, it just gets the job done. This is a beer that separates the boys from the men.

Brewed with Pride of Ringwood hops, cloudy with yeast sediment and packing a punch at 5.8%, it’ll put hair on your chest. It doesn’t care if you like it. To quote The Deer Hunter: “This is this. This ain’t something else.”

8/10
