CRAFTY BEGGARS PALE AND INTERESTING

Crafty Beggars Pale and Interesting; IPA? No! English Pale Ale? Maybe. As you can see it is not that pale and really it is not that interesting, apart from the back story.

When I say back story, I mean the story on the back label. If I had read it before buying I would have remembered the “Someone should make a craft beer you can actually drink” rubbish from Lion Nathan and that Crafty Beggars is their faux craft brewer.

The beer is OK, reasonable hoppy bitterness (more like a lager), smooth mouthfeel and good finish, but the knowledge of being conned left a bad aftertaste.
