ENGEL GOLD

Engel Gold. This is Engel's "premium" lager, which means it isn't as good as the standard fare but costs more. It's the definition of "premium". Look it up. 

It's not their best work, but it's still a very sessionable bit of kit. Slightly thicker mouthfeel doens't help it, then there's the lack of grass in the initial taste, but the biggest issue is a really odd, rudely abrupt finish to the bitterness at the end. It's like it's there, then it just disappears.

Don't run from it if it's there, but don't seek it out.
