ENTERPRISE BREWING KNAPPSTEIN RESERVE LAGER

Enterprise Brewery Knappstein Reserve Lager. A beer made by vintners in the Clare Valley of South Australia.

I drank too many rubbish lagers in my youth to look forward to this beer, but this is not 1970. This opens with a malty citrus aroma and follows up with a slightly sweet spicy malt flavour. There is a hint of hops and a good mildly bitter finish. I like it. This could easily be a dangerous session beer.

I expected an overworked beer made by wine tossers, but have been dumbfounded by this lovely lager (still not sure that it is a lager).
