FERAL BREWING CO HOP HOG INDIA PALE ALE

Feral Brewing Co Hop Hog India Pale Ale. Probably my first New World IPA and I was hooked by this big flavoured beer on tap at Young and Jackson’s Hotel in Melbourne.

It pours a pale copper and has a very fruity aroma. The flavour is rich fruity hops without too much bitterness.

While at the time of its introduction into the Australian beer market it stood out as a radical beer, it is not an in your face IBU monster. There is enough bitterness in the finish to satisfy a hop head, but it more about the fruitiness of the hops.

It is easy to see why this just keeps winning awards in Australia.
