GAGE ROADS ABSTINENCE

Gage Roads Abstinence. It's a Belgian Dubbel Chocolate Ale.

Apparently this beer was brewed with no less than seven specialty malts plus Tettnanger and Saaz hops, Belgian Candi sugar, premium Gabriel Ghanian chocolate and fair trade cold extract coffee.

First up the aroma is like instant hot chocolate. It’s highly carbonated with bubbles streaming up the glass long after it’s been poured.

It’s amber in colour and crystal clear. The head is just light foam with no real substance and the mouthfeel is thin and fizzy.

It has a sweet, instant hot chocolate / marshmallow flavour followed by an ethanol taste.

This is nasty. If I was a beer virgin this would make me abstain!
