GRANVILLE ISLAND BREWING ISLAND LAGER

Granville Island Brewing Island Lager. Granville Island's pale ale wasnt special, so I had hopes that the bottom fermentation might redeem them. Closer, but not quite.

There isn't a lot of carbonation to it (is that a Granville signature?) and the nose is so sweet that it's almost musky.

It didn't help that it was served way too cold, but the thing ends up tasting bland, with a very slight bitter tingle on the aftertaste.

Maybe it's a good session beer on Vancouver's hot days, but it seems like a lot of effort to go to for 11 days a year.

At least it had a good mouthfeel.
