GRIFTER BREWING BIG SUR WEST COAST IPA

Grifter Big Sur West Coast IPA. Big Sur is a mountainous region on the Central Coast of California. The name “Big Sur” is derived from the Spanish "el sur grande" which means "the big south".

The boys from Grifter decided to brew a big, hoppy, west coast style IPA with Columbus, Citra and Simcoe hops. No idea what the IBU is but it’s 6.7% ABV.

Honey colour with a fine head full of hop oils. Moderate carbonation. Tropical and pine aroma. Smooth mouthfeel, hop oils slide off the tongue. Moderately sweet caramel malt leading into a grapefruit, pine and bit of tropical fruit. The hop flavour and bitterness linger. As it warms up it becomes a little sweet.

Good but not the best out there.
