HERETIC BREWING EVIL TWIN

Heretic Brewing Evil Twin. I’ve heard good things about Heretic beers from homebrewers trying to recreate Evil Twin to bottleshop owners raving about the hop bomb that is the Evil Cousin. The Evil Twin is a west coast style American Amber/Red Ale coming in at 6.8% ABV and 45 IBU.

Beautiful deep red colour with a fine head that screams hop oils. Nice pine aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Starts with a rich but moderately sweet caramel flavour leading into a citrus and pine hop flavour with some resiny goodness that slides off the tongue. There is sufficient bitterness and the hop flavours linger. Beautifully balanced.

I’m keen to check out the rest of their range.
