HIX BEER PALE ALE

Hix Pale Ale. Apparently, Hix beer is brewed by Hickinbotham of Dromana, a vineyard in the Mornington Peninsula region of Victoria. I couldn’t find much info on this beer other than it’s brewed with Australian malt and ‘new world hops’. This usually means hops from the US and/or NZ. It’s 5% ABV and comes in manly sized 500ml bottle.

Pours an opaque, dirty yellow colour like an average looking homebrew. Grainy malt aroma.  Subtle floral and grapefruit-like hops flavours accompanied by a soft, bready, malt flavour. Clean and refreshing with a moderately bitter finish.

This would go down well on a hot day.

7/10
