HOOK NORTON TWELVE DAYS

Hook Norton Twelve Days English Strong Ale. You would think that you would save this beer 'til 12 days before Christmas... but I couldn't wait that long and I am glad I didn't.  And, of course, it's winter time in Australian now!

This lovely English Strong Ale (although its only 5.5%) is definitely a beer to be enjoyed during the winter months.

Not overly heavy, not overly strong, it carries a lovely deep malty flavour that was highly enjoyable.  I am sure there is some significance to the bird on the label, but I just focused on the significance of what was inside the bottle, and that was excellent.

8/10
