HOPDOG BLACK SUNSHINE OATMEAL STOUT

HopDog Beerworks Black Sunshine Oatmeal Stout. A breakfast beer? Let’s see.

It is very dark with a dark brown head. Aroma of roast malt, coffee and maybe oats. I haven’t smelt roast oats; it’s usually boiled in some porridge rubbish. The taste is a sweetish malt flavour that starts to satisfy and then fades away. Right to the last drop the aroma is good and the initial taste on the tip of the tongue is great, but it then feels a bit thin with a flat finish.

This has a lot of promise, but fails to deliver the nourishment of a good breakfast.
