HOPDOG MASSIVE OTTER

HopDog Massive Otter. You’ve got to give it to Hopdog they come up with some interesting beer names. I'm not even going to attempt to find a plausible reason for the beer name. It’s an Extra Special Bitter (ESB).

Very opaque golden orange colour with a fine, creamy head. Slight banana aroma. Medium mouthfeel and carbonation.

This is strange. It has a banana and bubblegum flavour like a Belgian ale followed by an earthy bitterness. Not what I was expecting from an ESB. It tastes quite similar to the Mountain Goat Hopfweizenbock.

6/10
