HUNTER BEER CO PALE ALE

Hunter Beer Pale Ale. After a day of wine tasting in the Hunter Valley I had a thirst for beer so I popped by the Hunter Brewing Co aka Potters Hotel and Brewery.

I headed to the bottleshop sales section to pick up a six pack. I asked which of their brews were available in takeaways.  To my surprise none were, just the usual mainstream lagers. They do longneck takeways but only when the brewery is open. One of the staff kindly rushed over to the brewery just before it shut to get some longnecks. Crisis averted.

An American style pale ale with a medium body with a fine foamy head that won’t die. Citrus hop flavour with a moderate malt flavour.

It’s quite light and carbonated which makes it a sessionable kind of beer. I’d prefer a bit more flavour.

6/10
