INNIS & GUNN ORIGINAL OAK AGED BEER

Innis & Gunn Original Oak Aged Beer. The one I had earlier this year invoked childhood memories of chewing Balsawood while making model aeroplanes and I bought this fully expecting  to write about a woeful beer.

It was not woeful. It was just not very good. I was afraid that the cloudy look indicated light struck beer (clear bottle syndrome), but it tasted OK, even though the residue looked like sawdust. A bit of malty sweetness, bordering on toffee and a clean finish.

Much better than I was prepared for, but I would not buy another.
