JAMES SQUIRE HOP THIEF

Without doubt my favourite of the James Squire range, definitely one of my top five for the year.

This is a beautiful American Pale Ale that lives up to its name - it's like someone pinched all the hops missing from other beers and added them in here.

I'm guessing green hops are part of the mix, because there's a real summery, cut-grass flavour, but whatever it is, it's got hops galore.

That said, its definitely not too bitter and there are some nice fruity flowery hints thrown in - utterly love it!

On tap at the Coopers Newtown right now (had a couple with dinner last night and came back tonight for another to add to the YIB list, it's that good), but you'll have to wait until 2014 before it's bottled.

10/10
