KARL STRAUSS RED TROLLEY ALE

A first review from Beeriosity Prospect Martin Beves (he's not really a "Prospect". We just stole that from Sons of Anarchy until he gets a headshot in):

Karl Strauss Red Trolley Ale. Tastes like a diluted can of malt extract so I'm not sure how people found caramel and toffee flavors with notes of dried raisins and currants.

It's quite sweet; not surprising given it's only 17 IBU. I reckon it could do with some more hops to give it a bit more balance.

This has reaffirmed I'm not a fan of the Irish Red Ale style. Not to be confused with American Amber Ale or Red Ales which are hoppy and tasty.

4/10
