KLOSTER WELTENBURGER WHITE TRAUM

Kloster Weltenburger Winter Traum. A winter bier if ever there was one, right down to the snowflakes over the kloster on the label.

And it's very good, very rich, gets better as it warms and, at 5.4%, it's not even too alcoholic so you could drink plenty of them at a sitting. Lots of these winter beers tend to be well over 6%, up in the Oktoberfest alcohol range.

Nevertheless, this one smelt like it meant business and delivered a meaty, hefty, rich flavour without ever feeling heavy. Good stuff if you can get it.

7/10
