MOUNTAIN GOAT HIGHTAIL ALE

Mountain Goat Hightail Ale. An English Amber Ale. This beer from Melbourne modern brewing pioneers, Mountain Goat, predates the  Hop Domination. Apparently they struggled to sell this to drinkers with palates ablated by freezingly cold lagers. I am grateful for their perseverance.

It has an initial sweet hoppy floral aroma that quickly disappears to leave roast malt. The roast malt shines through so much that you feel like swilling it around your mouth like a good scotch. This is a wonderfully satisfying drink, with a hoppy bitter finish.

Perfect for the winter months.
