MOUNTAIN GOAT STEAM ALE

Mountain Goat Steam Ale. I've had better Mountain Goats than this. And this is only the second Mountain Goat I've had.

This is the bottle-conditioned steam ale and at least it's quicker and easier to pour than the Hightail Ale.

The aroma just doesn't bite - it's a touch to subtle to really make any significant impact - and that translates to the beer itself.

It looks light, with plenty of floaties, and that's how it tastes. There is a hint of fruit, but not much of that cereal nuance to it and overall it's a bit like heavily watered gas that happens to be a bit beery from certain angles.

Maybe it's the beer to have while you're waiting for the Hightail to settle down.
