NAMASTE LAGER

Namaste Lager. If half of the battle with a beer is matching it with the right food, I did my best with the Indian Namaste Lager by matching it with Indian food in, of all places, Stuttgart.

An interesting thing it is, too. And that doesn't mean it's great.

It fizzes up enthusiastically at the start and then you drink it.

It's a very strange beer that reminds me of a classic bell curve. You drink it and there's no flavour whatsoever on the front of the tongue, then it climbs up until you get a big hit of malt across the middle of the tongue that fades to nothing by the time you've swallowed it.

You'd have one with no trouble, just to say you had, but you wouldn't rush back to it.

3/10
