OETTINGER PILSNER

Oettinger Pilsner. I have good memories of this because it seemed like a heavenly thing after the awful Italian craft beer I had just before it.

But then I threw down a Hofbrau Helles and a Fuller's London Pride, which put it back in its place.

And it's place is as a solid, middle-of-the-road European pilsner, complete with the grassy hints, clean mouthfeel, slightly hoppy aftertaste that Beck's and Heineken both deliver.

At least the label is more interesting. It's not bad, it's just not different or brilliant.

5/10
