OLD TIME PREMIUM LAGER

Old Time Premium Lager. This beer has many warning signs. Firstly the beer label is lame. It looks like from a Year 4 kid’s school project about bushrangers.

Secondly, it says it’s a lager but upon pouring it’s relatively dark and looks like an amber ale.

Thirdly it’s got ‘premium’ in the name.

To top it off there is even a cringe worthy bushranger pun on the back of the bottle – “A traditional lager that stands and delivers! Great taste with a cool, crisp, clean finish. So good it should be outlawed!” According to the company website:

"In short the most common comments we receive are;

"it's pretty damned fine" and "very drinkable".

 "Try it today we know you'll love it.”

So how does it taste? Like diluted malt extract. The closest comparison in terms of taste would be the Steamrail Amber Ale brewed under contract for Coles Supermarkets. You get the picture.
