PAULANER MUNCHNER DUNKEL

Paulaner Munchner Dunkel. I can't profess to being a massive fan of everything Paulaner pumps out, even though I've been impressively squiffy in Paulaner's Oktoberfest tent in Munich on their Oktoberfestbier.

Having said that, this dunkel is very possibly the best thing that comes out of the Munich brewer's HQ.

It's rich in colour, taste and smell without ever feeling too bulky or overpowering in the mouthfeel. Gets a good head and keeps it, too.

Toasty, malty and well work chasing it down, especially if there's a chill in the air. Not sure it's the best dunkel offered by Munich's Big Six, but there's not a lot wrong with it.

8/10
