PAULANER URTYP

Paulaner Original Urtyp. Paulaner tries hard, with its reputation (unusually for a Munich brewer) built around its top-fermented weizens, rather than lagers.

This, then, is a lager, but stronger than its helles version and brewed with noble malts. It's a little sweet, with Paulaner not wanting to venture too far from the signature sweet taste of its weiss beers, even with a completely different brewing style.

Disappointing, though, with a slightly oily mouthfeel and insufficient hop impact at the end.
