RED TRUCK LAGER

Red Truck Lager. North America has some great ales and an awful lot of rubbish lagers. This is a great lager from Vancouver.

This smacks of a classic German helles-style lager, though it has hints of citrus in the nose that you wouldn't find in the shadow of the Alps.

That hint doesn't translate into taste, though, with a solid baseline of malt being built on by grassy tones, some cereals and a nice wave of cleansing bitterness towards the end.

Great mouthfeel, too.

7/10
