RENAISSANCE ELEMENTAL PORTER ALE

Renaissance Brewing Company Elemental Porter Ale. I pulled this from the fridge and allowed it to warm for half an hour. It was warmer, if not the recommended 10 degrees, when I opened it to a blast of gas.

The pour resulted in a centimetre of beer and a glass full of beautiful brown head. I popped another home brew and let it settle.

Another half hour of regular slow topping and it was finally ready to be tasted. The suggested tulip glass concentrated the wonderful roast chocolate aroma and the combination of roast malt and hops oozed through my senses.

Oh, this is lovely, but I am seething at the wasted beer that frothed out the bottle.

Memo to Renaissance; get the carbonation right. This could easily be a 10.

8/10
