RENAISSANCE STONECUTTER SCOTCH ALE

Renaissance Brewing Company Stonecutter Scotch Ale. Dark as the Winter sky at Hogmanay and it may be my imagination, but I am sure that I can smell peat.

The aroma is very complex, with roast malt, chocolate, coffee and definitely peat. The flavour does not disappoint. This is a beer that you hold and swirl around your mouth like a good scotch and is deceptively easy to drink for the 7% ABV.

Just the thing to get a beer drinker in the mood to read some Ian Rankin.
