RIVERSIDE BREWING 777 IMPERIAL IPA

Riverside Brewing 777 Imperial IPA. In 2013, Riverside released a double IPA called Celebration Ale to mark their first birthday. A few months later they released a pilot batch of a very similar brew called 777 IPA Imperial IPA. It was like their 77 IPA on steroids and hop heads loved it.
In early 2014, they decided to bring it back. This time around V2.0 is bigger with a greater level of bitterness. Once again four hop varieties used including Mosaic which was a cracking addition to their Resurrection Ale.
The tweaks made in V2.0 have made a huge difference. There is a great hop flavour - citrus, grapefruit and pine. Having upped the anty on the bitterness level it tastes less sweet and boozy than the original despite being 9.2% ABV. Unlike other imperial IPAs you can actually taste the hops and not just a generic resiny and bittersweet flavour.
Riverside just keeps getting better.
