ROCKS BREWING IPA

Rocks Brewing IPA. I was super keen to try this as I am partial to an American IPA and head brewer Scotty Morgan has produced some killer ones in the past.

It’s hopped with Simcoe, Centennial and Amarillo and comes in at 7.3% ABV and 70 IBU.

Opaque dark yellow with a fine head. Grainy malt and stonefruit aroma. Medium mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Sweet malt, far too sweet, followed by a stonefruit / orange flavour from the Amarillo. It has a resinous mouthfeel but not the level of bitterness you would expect for an American IPA. It was so sickly sweet I had to abandon it before the end of the pint.

Bring back the Harts Pub Third Birthday Celebration Ale!
